Karin Mayer Rubinstein

As of 2011, Karin Mayer Rubinstein has been serving as CEO and President of IATI (Israel Advanced Technology Industries). IATI is Israel’s umbrella organization of the high-tech, life science and other advanced technology industries, with over 700 paying members from every level and aspect of the ecosystem, including Venture Capital Funds, Israeli R&D Centers of Multinational Companies, Start-Ups, Incubators & Accelerators, Tech Transfer Organization, Academic Institutions, Innovation Centers, Hospitals, Municipalities, service Providers and more. Through this broad range of members, IATI connects Israel’s tech ecosystem, provides solutions and support at all levels, and integrates the various sectors and resources of the industry with strategic and ongoing governmental goals. In her position, Karin executed the merger and the bring up of various leading industry organizations to become IATI, Israel’s umbrella organization. 

Karin has  gained vast experience and deep knowledge and expertise in working closely with:


  • The Israeli Government Ministers and Ministries’ & governmental agencies’ professional leaders (e.g. Prime Minister, Finance, Economy & Industry, Foreign, Education, Science & Technology, OCS & Israel’s Innovation Authority, Bi-national funds and programs etc.)

  • Members of Parliament and the different High Tech lobbies

  • Senior executives, institutional & private global & local investors, entrepreneurs and innovative veterans in the innovation ecosystem in Israel and worldwide

  • Leaders of the Israeli academic institutions, as well as with their tech transfer entities, all for expanding and promoting Industry-Academic relations

  • Relevant governmental official NGOs from around the world





Since 2008, she served at Herzog Fox & Neeman Law Office (HFN), Israel’s largest law firm, as the Managing Director of the Business Development Division. Prior to this, for 9 years she served as a Senior Partner – Startup Division Manager & Managing Director of Business Development at Efrati Galili & Co., one of the premier commercial law firms in Israel. 


is a member of steering committees and a keynote speaker of many leading global
events and conferences around the world. She is a member of the board of
Governance of Tel Aviv University, a Director in the Israel-America Chamber of
Commerce, a member of the 5×2 Initiative’s Steering Committee, a Council for
the Advancement of Women in Science and Technology of the Ministry of Science
and Technology, an Honorary Ambassador of GISEP, and more. Karin lectures on
entrepreneurship at the MBA Program for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, at the
Coller School of Management, Tel Aviv University. She regularly sits as a jury
member in leading technology competitions and awards worldwide
