Dr. Sharon Rashi-Elkeles
Dr. Rashi-Elkeles co-founded EVE – Femtech hub, a new and unique hub set up to promote entrepreneurs with technological ideas in the Femtech sector. EVE aims at shaping the Femtech ecosystem in Israel, and accelerate startups in this sector, by serving as a ‘one-stop-shop’ for Femtechers, to successfully ideate & promote their idea.
Dr. Rashi-Elkeles is an experienced biomed entrepreneur. In 2013, she founded StemCore Solutions Ltd., a private company aimed to establish a Stem Cell center that will handle the entire value chain of personal preservation and treatments related to stem cells.
In recent years, Dr. Rashi-Elkeles has been involved in several other innovative projects in the biomed field: She served as an entrepreneur in-residence at Mor research applications Ltd., where she led “AbracadaBRA”, a start-up project intended to develop a medical device for breast cancer diagnosis (a screening-bra); She was a member in a start-up company developing an application for assessing the risk to be diagnosed with breast cancer, and she is consulting other startups in the biomed field.
Dr. Rashi-Elkeles is a volunteering manager in Yazamiyot, the leading Israeli community for women technological entrepreneurs and a member at IZUN, Women’s Economic Leadership Forum, that aims to integrate women as directors in leading companies in Israel.
Dr. Rashi-Elkeles holds a Ph.D. in human genetics, and have been involved in academic research for over 15 years, during which she managed and led multidisciplinary international projects in the field of systems biology and applied genomics.
